Die hoch über dem Bodanrückstraße gelegene Kirche wurde 1905 neu gebaut, wobei der spätgotische, nach Norden ausgerichtete Chor als nordwestliche Seitenkapelle erhalten geblieben ist.

Der neoromanische, mit vielen Details ausgestattete Innenraum erscheint in mittelalterlich wirkender mystischer Dunkelheit und gibt der Kirche einen besonderen Reiz.
