Die berühmte Kirche der Stadt steht festgekeilt zwischen dem Ordenshaus der Benediktiner und dem Gymnasium und zeigt ihre Barockfassade dem Besucher auf dem Széchenyi Platz.
Das an der südlichen Seite des Platzes stehende Benediktiner Kloster war das erste zweistöckige Gebäude von Győr, ein Teil davon, die einstige Jesuitenapotheke, ist heute entsprechend ihrer ursprünglichen Funktion als Apothekenmuseum mit vielen Verzierungen des Frühbarocks eingerichtet.
