A kápolnát a Szentháromság tiszteletére szentelték fel, ez a 19. században elterjedt volt Magyarországon. Szentháromság vasárnapján (a pünkösd utáni első vasárnapon) a faluból ma is körmenet indul a kápolnához – ez a szokás csak a szocializmus alatt, 1940 és 1990 között szakadt meg.
A kápolnát a 19. század közepén építették, az épületet 1854-ben, a harangját 1856-ban szentelték fel. A Szentháromság kápolna ma is eredeti formájában áll, érdekessége a fából épült huszártornya, amely jól illeszkedik a börzsönyi falvak diszkrét népi építészetének hagyományaiba.
A kápolna előtti apró réten néhány rozoga padon le is lehet pihenni, pár lépéssel odébb, a legelővel borított domboldalról pedig szuper kilátás nyílik Szendehelyre.
Az épületet 2014-ben újították fel utoljára, a felújított kápolnát 160 évvel a felépítése után, 2014. június 15-én szentelték fel. A mise végén Thuróczy Lajos, a Magyar Természetjáró Szövetség tiszteletbeli elnöke is felszólalt, hiszen a kápolna megújulása összefonódott a Kéktúra-szakasz fejlesztésével is.
