A kápolna története
Egyes elbeszélések szerint már a 15. században is állt a hegytetőn templom, amely még a török hódítások időszakát is átvészelte. Ennek oka az volt, hogy a nyugat felé terjeszkedő törökök a környék völgyeit, nem pedig a hegygerinceket használták közlekedési útvonalként. A mai, Szent Lőrinc tiszteletére felszentelt egyhajós, félköríves szentélyzáródású kápolnát a 19. század elején építették. Állapota a 21. századra megromlott, renoválása a 2020-as évek első felében történt meg: napjainkban kívül-belül megújulva várja a kirándulni és hitéletre vágyókat.
Jeles napok a kápolnában
Minden évben a Lőrinc-nap (augusztus 10.) utáni vasárnap tartják a búcsút, ekkor nem csak miséznek a kápolnában, hanem kirakodóvásárral és egyéb programokkal is várják a kirándulókat, zarándokokat. Karácsonykor pedig különleges hangulatú éjféli misében lehet részünk: lampionokkal világítják be a templomot és környékét.
Kilátás a börzöncei szőlőhegy gerincútjáról
A kápolnához vezető gerincútról érdemes a hétvégi házak szőlősorai, gyümölcsösei között kikukucskálnunk. Kelet felé elnézve Börzönce házait és a település víztározóját, a Principális-völgy túloldalán pedig a Zalaapáti-hát dombságát láthatjuk, amely mögött megfelelő idő esetén a Badacsony bazaltplatója is feltűnhet. Nyugati irányban a Közép-Zalai-dombság lágyan hullámzó, erdőkkel borított vonulatait vehetjük szemügyre.

- A Börzönce, autóbusz-forduló megállótól a a Börzöncei-szőlőhegy gerincéig a S+ turistaúton haladunk, majd déli irányba fordulva a S turistaúton érjük el a kápolnát (1,7 km, 124 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Egészen a kápolnát övező parkig eljuthatunk az odavezető murvás úton.
- Alacsony hasmagasságú autóval a kápolnához vezető murvás földút kiágazásánál célszerű parkolni. Itt pár autó fér el.
- Börzöncén belül a Fő út széles padkáján érdemes hagynu az autót.
