A mátrai Remete-barlang nem kifejezetten látványos, nem is túl hosszú: alapterülete mindösszesen 6*8 m, magassága 2 m. A bivakolásra alkalmas üreg érdekességét inkább azok a sziklafalak adják, amelyek közt megbújik.
A Remete-bérc sziklás oldalában, a KΩ jelzésen a barlang felé haladva tárulnak fel előttünk a kb. 12 millió évvel ezelőtt zajlott vulkánosság maradványai.
