The sculpture is part of the Jockgrim art path. The beautiful place in the South Palatinate features numerous works of art in public spaces. The most important sculptures by renowned artists have been compiled into an art path under the professional guidance of the Board for Art and Monument Preservation (Zehnthaus).
This composition is comparable to the figure sitting in front of the town hall. It again illustrates the clear and fragmenting language of forms of the artist. The outstretched leg resting on the pedestal emphasizes the heaviness of the figure marked by a male genitalia. The compact torso rises with only a slight inclination and is concluded, in order to maintain the harmony of form and movement, with a head element that is offset from the axis. The Corten steel used here also shows, as in many of Bernhard's works, the honesty of the material and its particular treatment and appreciation
for edges, welds, angles, and connections of the individual fragments.

Directions
Your way to Jockgrim
You can reach Jockgrim Station by public transport with the S-Bahn lines S51 and S52 from the directions of Germersheim and Karlsruhe. The Art Trail starts opposite the station in the Bürgerpark.
By car, you can reach Jockgrim via the A65 (exit Kandel-Mitte) or the B9 (exit Rheinzabern or Jockgrim) and drive into the town center.
Parking is available at the Bürgerhaus Jockgrim.
By bicycle, there is a lovely route along the Rhine Cycle Path/Vélo Route Rhin. A charging station for electric bicycles can be found at the parking lot of the Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung.
