Das trutzige Einlasstor (Westernacher Tor) mit dem zinnenbewehrten Turm wurde im Jahr 1469 erstmals erwähnt. Wesentliche bauliche Merkmale aus der Zeit um 1500 haben sich erhalten. Die Bezeichnung Einlasstor erinnert an eine besondere Funktion. Gegen entsprechende Gebühr gewährten die Torwächter spät heimkehrenden Bürgern auch nach Torschluss Einlass in die sichere Innenstadt.
