A szálláshely önellátó, a felszerelt konyhákon kívül a kertben kiépített bográcsozóhelyen is lehet főzni, amit a fedett szín alatt is elfogyaszthatunk. Ha nem bajlódnátok a főzéssel, akkor előzetes bejelentkezéssel a vendéglátók vendégasztalánál is ehettek.
A vendégháznál (2 főtől) kérhető, hogy az Országos Kéktúra 18. és 19. szakaszán (Nógrádtól Mátraverebélyesig) a napi túrátok kezdőpontjára vigyenek és a végpontjáról a szálláshelyre vigyenek titeket autóval. Így nem kell a menetrendhez igazodni.
