At the Uittomies Cabin in Evijärvi you can experience historic log‑driving traditions, explore a guided nature trail, try a log drivers’ training track, and enjoy water activities with canoes and rowing boats.

Located in Jokisuunlahti, the Uittomies Cabin area features a traditional log‑drivers’ cabin built in 2017, along with a sauna, campfire hut, and a training course where visitors can try their skills in traditional log‑driving and forestry tasks. Log‑driving competitions and other heritage events are also organised here, bringing local history to life.

Nearby, a guided nature trail of about four kilometres offers an enjoyable route for visitors of all ages. On the water, you can explore the paddling routes of the Ähtävänjoki River, with canoes and rowing boats available for rent. Motorboat lake cruises are also offered, adding to the variety of activities.

Indoor spaces can be rented for events such as family gatherings or meetings. The cabin provides accommodation for up to six people, and rest spots along the trails are well marked for hikers.
