The Schapabachalm with the Watzmann
Auf dem Weg zum Watzmannhaus oder zur Kühroint liegt die Schapbachalm. Beliebt ist die Alm nicht nur bei Wanderern und Bergsteigern, auch Mountainbiker kommen oft vorbei und machen hier Rast.
Zwischen Watzmann und Königssee
Die Schapbachalm liegt etwas unterhalb der Kühroint zwischen Königssee und Watzmann. Die Alm ist traditionell bewirtschaftet, es wird eigener Käse hergestellt und an hungrige Wanderer, Bergsteiger oder Mountainbiker verkauft. Im Mittelpunkt des Almsommers auf der Schapbachalm steht aber das Vieh.
Auf dem Weg zum WatzmannSowohl von Ramsau als auch von Schönau aus ist die Schapbachalm zu ererichen. Mit kleinen Umwegen kann man hier auch bei einer Tour zum Watzmannhaus vorbeikommen. Oder man meistert den Weg zur Schapachalm von der Wimbachbrücke in Ramsau mit dem Mountainbike. Im Winter passieren Skibergsteiger die Schapbach-Alm auf dem Weg ins Watzmnannkar. Diese beliebte Skitour zum 3. Watzmannkind führt über die Almfläche und zweigt am Ende der Schapbach an der sogenannten Bezinkurve in den Wald in Richtung des Watzmannkars ab.
