    Did this in mid-October. The first hiking trail of this difficulty for me. The trail is well-marked, but did challenge my endurance. My travel time (with multiple stops for photos) was about 9.5 hours. I actually liked doing this in autumn, because the colors.

    Bei schönem Wetter sehr schöne Aussicht. Der schmale Pfad führt sanft auf- und abwärts. Ea gibt nicht viele steile Stellen, so dass man die zurückgelegten Höhenmeter gar nicht so bemerkt. Ein paar Mal muss ein Geröllfeld überquert werden. Die Signalisation kurz vor Saas Fe ist etwas verwirrend. Die Gondelbahn hoch kostet CHF 6.50 für alle mit Halbtax/Abo. Definitiv zu empfehlen, auch wenn wir die Wanderung Vispertherminen-Nanztal-Simplon noch etwas abwechslungsreicher und ein Mü schöner fanden. Wir benötigten für die Wanderung nur knapp etwas mehr als 5 Stunden. Bitte nehmt all euren Abfall wieder mit nach Hause, merci.

    Idyllische Wanderung durch das Mattertal, insbesondere der Abschnitt durch den Rinderwald vor Kalpetran bietet auch im Sommer die nötige Abkühlung. Nach Kalpetran sind auf dem historischen Säumerpfad alte Walliser Trockensteinmauern zu bestaunen. Der Weg verläuft entlang der Bikeroute Zermatt - Visp - es waren jedoch keine Biker anzutreffen.
