Liptovský Ján, located in Slovakia, offers a variety of beautiful hiking trails for all levels of hikers. From beginners to professionals, there is something for everyone to enjoy in this picturesque region.
This spectacular circular hike links the highest, tourist-accessible peaks of the Low Tatras. It offers mountain huts, dizzying views, and comfortable mountain trails, but ends with a relentlessly steep climb.
Classic circular route from the mountain foot to the crown of the mountains, to the highest peaks of the Low Tatras. The long, easily traversable ridge section offers comprehensive views of the Northwestern Carpathian mountain range from the Beskids to the North Hungarian Mountains, from alpine rock peaks to forested backbones; the difficult sections can be replaced by cable cars.
We ascend to one of the most characteristic viewpoints of the northern foothills of the Low Tatras to survey the Liptov mountains: the expansive panorama encompasses almost all Tatras and the Kócs Mountains, as well as the Liptov Basin lying at the confluence of granite and limestone mountains. At the end of our route, we can visit the region's most famous cave, the Deményfalvi Freedom Cave and its emerald-green stream-reflecting stalactite formations. A breathtaking circular route above the clouds and deep in the mountains, along the edge of the Deményfalvi valley.
A popular circular route in the Low Tatras along a scenic yet friendly ridge section dotted with two-thousand-meter peaks, among the highest summits. Starting from the summit area, we also descend into the forest zone and explore the primeval forest atmosphere. The difficult part of the hike can be replaced by a lift.
We hike among the northern ridges of the Low Tatras, from where there are magnificent views both of the main ridge with mountain peaks and of the surrounding mountain ranges, the Liptovské Tatry and the High Tatras, as well as the wide valley of the Váh. The hike is also enriched by interesting geological phenomena, relics of the World War II partisan movement, and an ancient pine forest thickly covered with moss and lichen.
Ďumbier, at an altitude of 2043 m above sea level, is the highest peak of the Low Tatras. However, the ascent to the summit is not among the most demanding.
The Svätojánska lookout tower towers above the village of Liptovský Ján and offers a view of the entire village and the wide surroundings. The lookout tower is made entirely of wood, its shape and materials draw from traditional Slovak architecture. It is located in the area called Stráne above the cemetery under the peak Kameničná (829 m above sea level).
Hiking route to the low Tatras highlands where the highest peak of the ridge - Ďumbier - stands. You can recognize it by the massive double-armed cross on its summit and the steep northern slopes.
Poludnica is a very attractive peak for hikers. It rises to an altitude of 1548 meters above sea level and is only 7 kilometers away in a direct line from the center of Liptovský Mikuláš. Thanks to this, there is a beautiful view of the entire Liptov region from Poludnica.

Ajánlom a túrát!
Szeles időben a hegy déli oldala intenzív magashegységi élménnyel "kecsegtet".
