The best hikes for families in Grän

The special feature of this region is its unspoilt nature and picturesque landscapes. The majestic peaks of the surrounding Allgäu Alps offer an impressive sight and invite you to take unforgettable hikes. Many claim that the Tannheimer Tal is the most beautiful high valley in Europe. Grän is also an ideal place for a holiday with the family. There are specially designated family hiking trails for hiking with the children. These routes are child-friendly and lead through gentle hills and forests where little adventurers can start their journey of discovery. For example, on the hike from Haldensee to the Edenbachalm, where there are only about 300 metres of altitude to cover. At the alpine pasture you can enjoy a good snack and cool drinks. There is also a lot to discover at the Füssener Jöchle. For example, the revolving sun panorama hat, on which you can enjoy a 360° panorama in complete relaxation

.

With a view: summit tours in Grän

The panorama from the peaks of the Tannheim Alps is a dream and there are numerous rewarding summit hikes. One highlight is the tour to the Neunerköpfle summit. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view over the entire Tannheimer Tal valley all the way to the Allgäu. The climb may be a little more challenging, but the reward at the top is definitely worth it.

One of the great classics in the Tannheim Mountains is the 1987-metre-high Aggenstein. Certainly not an easy tour, as there are more than 800 metres of altitude to climb, but the ascent is worth all the effort. In addition, shortly before the summit you reach the Bad Kissinger Hütte, which offers a great view from the terrace. But it is better to hike to the summit beforehand, although caution is advised on the last few metres. But then you can enjoy the magnificent view of Tyrol and the Allgäu from the Aggenstein.

Tip: The Gräner Höhenweg

Hiking trails are among the most beautiful types of trails. Hiking along the hills for a long distance and having enough time to look into the distance is something special. The entrance to the Gräner Höhenweg can also be reached without any effort by taking the Füssener Jöchle cable car. From the mountain station, which lies at 1821 metres, you then head north, where the Aggenstein dominates the scenery. As a crowning finale, you can then also climb to its summit.

How long does it take to walk around the Haldensee?

One of the most popular hikes in Grän is the circular trail around Lake Halden. This approximately 6-kilometre-long trail leads along the crystal-clear lake and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding panorama of the Tannheim Mountains. Along the way there are numerous bathing places and cosy places to stop for refreshments after a strenuous hike. You should allow about 1.5 to 2 hours for the walk. In summary, Grön offers a variety of hiking options to suit all tastes. From leisurely walks around the Haldensee to more challenging summit climbs on the Neunerköpfle - every hiking enthusiast will find their personal adventure here. The unspoilt nature, the picturesque landscape and the varied routes make Grön a true paradise for all nature lovers. So put on your hiking boots and set out to discover this enchanting region for yourself!
