Welcome to the Deichwiesenhof, a place with a rich history and a vibrant future! The roots of our inn go back to 1462, when Wilhelm II, Count of Wied, Lord of Ysenburg, had the Deichwiesenhof built. Over the centuries, this place has brought generations of people together and has always been a central meeting place for the village community of Bonefeld. In 1992, the local community acquired the Deichwiesenhof and in 1997 it was extensively renovated to meet the needs of the times. Since then, various tenants have changed hands, all of whom have contributed to the history of this special place. But in 2023, the Deichwiesenhof faced a challenge: no new tenant could be found. But the people of Bonefeld did not give up! Driven by the desire to continue the tradition of the pub and keep the village community alive, a few committed citizens got together. They thought about how they could revitalise this valuable place. The brilliant idea was to found a co-operative. After a lot of hard work and commitment, Deichwiesenhof eG was founded in June 2024. Since August 2024, the Deichwiesenhof has been run on a voluntary basis by our citizens. We invite you to enjoy the warm atmosphere and refreshing drinks.
