The varied B5 circular hiking trail takes us around Bonefeld, with far-reaching views over the fields and repeatedly through the woods, accompanied by three lively streams.

The circular hike on the B5 invites us to enjoy wonderful views and fresh forest air. We circle Bonefeld in a wide arc, accompanied time and again by a lively stream - sometimes it is the local stream, then the Völkerwiesenbach and finally our path leads into the lovely Laubachtal valley. So there is plenty of variety for the senses. Right at the start, we can even squeeze in a sports session, as station 8 of the vitality trail is on our way. Not far from our starting point is the Bonefelder Heide and Heidschnucken biotope, which is definitely worth a visit - whether before or after our beautiful hike. The heathland is a rarity, as there are very few heathland areas left in Rhineland-Palatinate. In May 2013, a small herd of gray horned Heidschnucken was introduced here. This breed of sheep is ideal for maintaining the heathland, see also NABU Rengsdorf . The Heidschnucken, but also the heathland itself, have a wonderfully calming effect on us and it is simply a joy to watch the animals.
