Der Däumling ist wohl der markanteste Turm im Klettergarten Dürnstein, dementsprechend ragt dieser aus dem Graben zwischen den beiden Dürnsteinergraden. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Routen an der Peripherie der Däuming Südwand, wie z.B.: die NO-Kante, und für den trainierten Sportkletterer natürlich die Routen um den 8ten und 9ten Grad in der Däumling Südwand. Hier befinden sich die ersten erschlossenen Routen im 9ten Schwierigkeitsgrad in der Wachau.
