Das "Matterhorn" ist ein den Hauptwänden westlich vorgelagerter Turm. Der Fels ist meist sehr gut, die Kletterrouten bieten fast alle Schwierigkeiten und fordern vor allem technisch anspruchsvolle Kletterei. Gut besucht, daher teilweise abgespeckt. Achtung, es gibt drei Einstiegsbereiche, die teilweise ziemlich ausgesetzt sind. Routennamen sind teilweise angeschrieben.

History
Erste Kletterrouten wurden bereits in den 1920er begangen (Peterka ua). Das Sportklettern startete in den 1980ern (Enserer ua.), ab 1993 erfolgte auch am Matterhorn die Generalsanierung und Nacherschließung.

Approach
Von Holzschlag wie zum Sektor "Cimone". Zu den linkesten Einstiegen kurz den Wandfußsteig nach links und dann auf schlechtem Steig (Seilgeländer) zu den Einstiegen. Der Hauptbereich Absatz unter den Wänden wird erreicht, indem man dem Weg zum Cimone weiter folgt und dann linkshaltend zum Absatz unter den Wänden aufsteigt.
