Bikepacking routes in Liptói-medence

A multi-day cycling route inspired by Krisztián Szabó's travel film "Around the Tatras in 8 Days".

A popular route for cyclists, skaters, runners and families with children. The flat and safe surface allows for a comfortable ride without the stress of traffic, while the surrounding nature creates a pleasant atmosphere all year round.

With its simple terrain, it is intended for families with children. The route measures 23 km one way with an elevation gain of 320 m and leads across the border of two national parks – Nízke Tatry and Veľká Fatra.

The cycling route leads from Dovalovo (Liptovský Hrádok) through the Tatra National Park and under the Chočské vrchy, with views of the peaks of the Western Tatras, Kvačianska Valley, Liptovská Mara, and the Low Tatras ridge.

A circular route with views of the High and Western Tatras from Dovalovo near Liptovský Hrádok leads to the reservoir, through Východná, Hybe, Breziny, and back. All the time with a view of the majestic Kriváň.

Below the High Tatras, through picturesque villages down to Kráľova hoľa to Liptovská Teplička. Along the Čierny Váh river to Kráľova Lehota and Dovalovo

The cycling route starts in Dovalovo, above Liptovská Kokava, along forest roads up to Nadbánske, descent to Pribylina, ascent to Račková dolina and a long descent through Jamník to Podturna. We return to Dovalovo along the bank of the Váh River.

Circular route from Dovalovo. First along the southern side under the Low Tatras, on the way back on the northern side under the Western Tatras, to the northern shore of the Liptovská Mara.
