    Nous avons rencontré surtout des seniors en vélo VAE. On a fait plusieurs fois la partie Marlenheim Molsheim car on habite dans la secteur, et on a pris le train TER une fois jusque Selestat pour remonter vers Marlenheim sur le Veloroute du vignoble. Nous recommandons cette balade qui n’est pas si difficile que cela. Très diversifiée, elle passe dans les villages et les vignobles. L’atmosphère est authentique. nous avons fait récemment la partie haut- Rhin de cette Veloroute jusque Mulhouse avec gîte étape à Soultzmatt: sympa aussi mais on a préféré le tronçon nord, donc celui-ci.

    Schöne Region - tolle Fachwerkhäuser - historische Orte - sonnige Weinberge - gnadenlose Sonne im Sommer - zahlreiche Campingplätze - ruhige Plätze zum Entspannen - tolle Aussichten - das muss man mal gesehen und erlebt haben!

    Ich durfte dabei sein :) Es war eine durch und durch wunderschöne Radtour, bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen abseits vom Autoverkehr. Die Strecke ist sehr abwechslungsreich, landschaftlich überaus reizvoll und die Städtchen, durch welche die Route führt, sind entzückend. Meine Favoriten waren Freinsheim und Wissembourg, hier hätte ich auch noch länger verweilen können..

    Die Variante ist -insbesonder bei heißem Wetter im Rheintal - eine sehr lohnende, landschaftlich schöne und weniger befahre Strecke als die Hauptroute. Sie hat Anstiege bis auf 400m, braucht also etwas mehr Kondition als die Rheitalstrecke, was aber durch die landschaftliche Schönheit wettgemacht wird. Sehr viel schöner ist es ab Schliengen, statt nach Neuenburg, durch die Rebberge oberhalb des Rheintals mit herrlichen Ausblicken in das Tal und hinüber zu den Vogesen zu radeln. Dazu fährt man von Schliengen über Mauchen nach Auggen. Dort biegt man bei der Kirche rechts ab nach Müllheim, wo man wieder Anschluß an den Hauptweg nach Freiburg findet.

    Abwechslungsreiche Tour, bei der man am ersten Tag etwas abseits der Route am Stockweiher wunderbare Unterkünfte finden kann (z.B. http://domainelesbachats.com/). Schiffshebewerk, Saverne und natürlich Strasbourg sind weitere Höhepunkte der angenehm zu fahrenden Strecke.

    Achtung, die Wegweisung in Bonndorf ist lückenhaft. Bis man es merkt ist man an der entscheidenden Abzweigung vorbei und hat etliche Höhenmeter verloren. Die Streckenführung in der Schweiz und Frankreich führt fast ausschließlich durch Industriegebiete und ist alles andere als reizvoll. Allein die Altstadt von Basel rechtfertigt den Abstecher ins Linksrheinische.
