Viewpoints in Wolfach

Sunbeds are like solariums without electricity. Our two on the Vorstadtberg are anyway. They are located in the sunniest spot in Wolfach, where you can feel a hint of warmth even in the depths of winter.

The path up is steep, but the view from the top makes you forget all the effort. From the pavilion on the Reutherberg, the city literally lies at your feet and the view sweeps over the tower of the Catholic city church to the "Schlössle" and further into the Wolftal valley.

The Spitzfelsen is a vantage point directly on the border between Wolfach and Hausach.

In the middle of the forest, in an idyllic secluded location with breathtaking views over the vast forest mountains of the Black Forest to the Vosges, lies the Sommerecke at an altitude of 777 metres. Our house is in an absolutely quiet location with no through traffic and yet close to many interesting places of interest.

The Käpflefelsen is a free-standing rock needle on the Reutherberg below the pavilion. A footbridge leads from the hiking trail over the precipice directly to the viewing platform at the top. The Golden Ball is visible from afar and was built together with the footbridge at the end of the 19th century.

The ascent is arduous but rewarding. From the Stuckhäusle you can enjoy a sweeping view over the town and up the valley towards Schmelzegrün.
