A classic vacation in Constanța County
Alternate traditional days spent at the beach with trips out at sea that can last for a few hours or a full day. Enjoy the up and down rocking rhythm of the waves, among the seagulls and dolphins that seem to be displaying their best show just for you in the open sea. Such tours are the equivalent of urban routes with hop-on / hop-off buses, the difference being that the stops are made in various resorts on the Romanian coast. This is an ideal occasion to build unforgettable adventures for children. And after all, you can't dive off the yacht anywhere in the country.
Lake Siutghiol is the best place to take part in an introduction to windsurfing; if you find it too complicated, stick with a jet ski tour. Try a private boat ride to Ovidiu Island - another special experience. Wildlife lovers can stay on the island, completely isolated from civilization.
A must-see on the list of ideal places to visit with children in Dobrogea is the Dolphinarium in Constanța, the aqua parks in the resorts, or even the longest zip line on the Black Sea coast - with beautiful views over Constanța beach.

Want to explore Constanța differently?
One of the most famous European cycle routes crosses the western border of Constanța County, enters Tulcea, and then returns to the seaside resorts, where it ends. Eurovelo 6, spanning between the Atlantic and the Black Sea, crosses southern Romania between Baziaș and Constanța. Although it is not officially marked, many groups of cyclists wander on the proposed route every year.
An alternative to reach the coast within the territory by bike are the county roads in the south of the county. Given the poor accommodation infrastructure until you reach seaside resorts or towns requires rigorous route planning. That's if you don't drive a caravan, and the next place you'll spend the night isn't such a big deal.

If you want an experience that very few people have, though popular with photographers, visit Constanța in winter! On extremely cold days, when the sea freezes, the beach is completely abandoned, and the seascape is almost unrecognizable. It won't feel like a polar expedition, but the uniqueness is there for sure.
