High Alpine Experiences on the "Roof of Germany"
The absolute highlight in the region is – quite literally – a visit to Germany's highest mountain. Experienced climbers venture on high alpine tours via the Reintalanger hut or via Höllentalklamm and Höllentalanger hut to the 2962 m high summit.
But even for leisure hikers, the path to the Zugspitze is open: with the cogwheel railway, it goes up through the massive rock to the Schneeferner, from where it continues floating with the glacier railway to the summit.

The Eibsee – a crystal-clear natural jewel
The deep blue Eibsee lies directly at the foot of the mighty Zugspitze and is undoubtedly one of the most popular photo motifs in southern Bavaria. On a leisurely circular hike or boat tour, you can best enjoy the magnificent views of the crystal-clear lake and the Zugspitze.
For children, not only the hike around the Eibsee, which can be combined with refreshing bathing fun in the summer, is suitable. Many other paths such as the forest adventure trail to the Kuhflucht Waterfalls or a walk to the Seven Springs await little explorers.
