    Eine der landschaftlich schönsten Touren die wir in Deutschland je gefahren sind. Die Beschreibung des Autors passt sehr gut. Der Track weicht in Teilen vom beschilderten Steinwaldradweg ab, verläuft aber immer parallel dazu. Ich empfehle der Beschilderung zu folgen, da man ansonsten schöne Streckenanschnitte verpasst. „Sehr empfehlenswert“

    Tolle und abwechslungsreiche Strecke! Sehr viele schöne Weiher die teils direkt am Weg liegen! Auch Falkenberg ist einen Besuch wert! Das Waldnaabtal ist wohl das absolute Highlight, das sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen, es gibt nicht viele Orte wo man so eine schöne Naturkulisse bewundern kann! Negativ aufgefallen ist: Sitzgelegenheiten unter Dach zum kurzen Ausruhen oder Unterstellen beim Regen sind nicht gegeben! Dasselbe gilt für Mülleimer, dementsprechend sieht man auch die ein oder anderen weggeworfenen Dinge. Was auch noch toll wäre wenn zumindest alle 7-10 Kilometer ein Möglichkeit zur Notdurft gegeben wäre! Auch hier war wieder die Streckenangabe total daneben, wir sind von Friedenfels über Falkenberg nach Windischeschenbach (Bahnhof) gegangen, anstatt der ausgezeichneten ca 30km kamen zum Schluss 39,7km raus!

    Auf seiner zweiten Etappe reiht der Goldsteig Highlight an Highlight. Schon nach wenigen Kilometern gelangt man in die Tirschenreuther Teichpfanne, die durch eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Teichen und Weihern zu gefallen weiß. Beeindruckend ist auch die Stille, die einen beim Wandern entlang der Gewässer umfängt und nur vom Flügelschlag einiger Enten unterbrochen wird, die über die Wasserlandschaft streichen. Dem nicht genug!! Nachdem man die Felsenburg Falkenberg bewundert hat, erwartet das Waldnaabtal mit seiner wildromantischen Idylle die Goldsteigwanderer. An jeder Ecke gilt es neue Eindrücke zu sammeln und der Natur beim Gestalten den ihr gebührenden Tribut zu zollen. Alles in Allem begeistert dieser Routenverlauf in besonderem Maße und ist an Abwechslungsreichtum wohl kaum noch zu toppen.
