The geographical location is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or skiing. In summer, you can visit the nearby Starnberger See lake or go for a walk along the Ammersee lake. In winter, the ski resorts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze attract with their slopes.

Weilheim in Upper Bavaria also has many tourist attractions to offer. Visit the historic town hall on Marienplatz or stroll through the old town alleys with their colourful houses and shops. The parish church of St. Pölten is also worth a visit - it was built in the 15th century and houses beautiful frescoes from that time.

For cultural highlights, don't miss the annual folk festival "Weilheimer Herbstvolksfest" - it takes place every year in September and offers traditional Bavarian music, food and drink as well as rides for young and old.

Culinary Weilheim in Upper Bavaria has a lot to offer: Be sure to try the regional specialities such as liver dumplings, pork knuckles or pretzels with Obatzda (a type of cheese dip). You can enjoy the delicious dishes in the numerous beer gardens and restaurants.

If it rains, there are also many indoor activities in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria. Visit the "Stadtmuseum" or the "KunstGalerie im Foyer" to learn more about the history of the town as well as contemporary art.

However, the most beautiful thing to do in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria is to walk through the idyllic town park or hike along the river Ammer - here you can enjoy nature and tranquillity and escape from everyday life.

Also rund 400 Höhenmeter mehr.
