Safety information
Courtesy widens pathsPlease note that you often cycle on agricultural paths in our region. You are warmly welcome on these paths; however, they are of course also used by farmers with their vehicles for managing the fields. Due to the width of the vehicles, the paths can sometimes get narrow. Paths remain wide enough if all users are considerate and, if necessary, yield space to others. Please note that large machines often cannot drive off the paths. Therefore, as cyclists, please yield if it gets tight!
Thank you for your understanding and consideration for the people who have to work here!
Use of paths along rivers
We are pleased that the Weilheim Water Management Office has created dike paths along the rivers, which may also be used by cyclists.
Please note that these paths were laid out for water management purposes and do not always meet the quality requirements for cycle paths. Especially after construction work, floods, and storms (fallen trees), the paths may have damage or impassable sections. Also, occasional construction traffic can be expected.
Please use the paths with due caution and observe the traffic signs on site! Usage of maintenance paths is at your own risk.

Roadbook
From Raisting, the path initially leads northwards towards Dießen and Ammersee. Don’t miss the turn to the east at the edge of town – here begins the section along the Ammer River, which leads to Weilheim. From afar, the distinctive parabolic dishes of the Raisting Earth Station can be seen. In Raisting itself, a visit to the well-known white storks “Raisti” and “Rosita” is also worthwhile.
Beyond Weilheim, the route goes through the Ammersee basin and the Weilheimer Moos, a landscape shaped by the Ice Age. Passing the Zelsee, the route continues through woods and meadows until reaching Stillern, where a cozy beer garden invites you to stop for a break before returning to the starting point in Raisting.
A varied loop through the Alpine foothills – with nature, culture, and moments of enjoyment for the entire family.
