Discover the region

Geographical location: Unterreichenbach is located in the middle of a picturesque landscape of the Black Forest. The community is located about 20 kilometres southwest of Pforzheim and is surrounded by dense forests as well as rolling hills.

Special features: The region is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and the numerous hiking opportunities through the forest or along the river valleys. Also, as the hometown of some famous cuckoo clock manufacturers, Unterreichenbach has a long tradition of making these clocks.

Tourist attractions: An absolute highlight is the German Cuckoo Clock Museum, which gives an insight into the history and production of these traditional clocks. It is also worth visiting the Schlossberg Tower with its impressive view of the surrounding area or the Ruhestein Nature Park Centre with its interactive exhibitions on the flora and fauna of the Black Forest.

Cultural Highlights & Events: Cultural events take place regularly in Unterreichenbach, such as the fountain festival in summer or the Christmas market in winter. For music lovers, a visit to the Jazz Night concert at Ebersberg Castle is recommended.

Culinary specialities: The regional cuisine is characterised by hearty dishes such as Black Forest ham, Maultaschen and Kirschtorte. A special tip are the numerous farm shops in the area, which offer fresh products from their own production.

Outdoor activities: The Northern Black Forest offers a variety of outdoor activities for every season. In summer you can go hiking or cycling, in winter there are opportunities for skiing or cross-country skiing. Hikes through the wild and romantic Nagold valley or along the waterfall at the Hagenbach are particularly recommended.

Rain days: Even in bad weather, there is plenty to experience in Unterreichenbach. One option would be a visit to the Bad Wildbad thermal baths with its various saunas and pools or a trip to the nearby Maulbronn monastery with its impressive architecture.

Beautiful places: The most beautiful places in Unterreichenbach are without a doubt the nature parks around the town as well as the historic town centre with its half-timbered houses and small shops.

Unterreichenbach, Northern Black Forest - definitely worth a trip!
