Geographical location and special features Pfullendorf is located in the heart of the Linzgau, an idyllic region between Lake Constance and the Swabian Alb. The town is surrounded by rolling hills and offers breathtaking views of the Alps. Sigmaringen, on the other hand, is located on the banks of the Danube, surrounded by picturesque forests and mountains.

Tourist attractions. There are many historic buildings to visit in Pfullendorf, such as Heiligenberg Castle or the 14th century town wall. The Auberlehaus Museum with its collection of old craftsmanship is also a highlight. In Sigmaringen, it is worth visiting the magnificent castle as well as the Upper Danube Nature Park with its numerous hiking and cycling trails.

Cultural highlights and events. The two towns also have a lot to offer culturally: In Pfullendorf, concerts, theatre performances or exhibitions take place regularly - the annual medieval festival at Heiligenberg Castle is particularly worth seeing. In Sigmaringen, too, there are many events such as the international jazz festival or the Christmas market.

Culinary specialities. If you like good food, you won't be disappointed here: in Pfullendorf there are many cosy inns serving regional specialities such as Maultaschen or Kässpätzle. In Sigmaringen, too, you will find numerous restaurants with delicious food - be sure to try the Swabian Zwiebelrostbraten!

Outdoor Activities The region around Pfullendorf and Sigmaringen is perfect for outdoor activities. In summer, you can go hiking or cycling here - the Linzgau Cycle Path or the Danube Cycle Path, for example, are particularly beautiful. Water sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth, as the Danube is perfect for canoeing or stand-up paddling.

What do you do in Pfullendorf when it rains? There is plenty to do even in bad weather: Visit the Auberlehaus Museum in Pfullendorf or take a guided tour of Sigmaringen Castle. If you prefer to be active, a visit to the indoor swimming pool is a good idea.

Where is the most beautiful? That's hard to say, because both Pfullendorf and Sigmaringen have their very own charm. However, in both towns you will find many beautiful places and vantage points - just enjoy the view of the landscape and relax!
