Ferienregion Nördlicher Bodensee Tourist-Information Pfullendorf
An entertaining and easy circular bike route along the Andelsbach, which is not suitable for racing bikes.
The bike tour "along the Andelsbach," starting from Pfullendorf, covers 27 kilometers and is also suitable for novice cyclists, even though it first goes slightly uphill from the starting point. Passing Pfullendorf's landmark, the Obertor, the first hurdle is already overcome. (By the way, you can easily view a virtual tour of the historic tower via QR codes on the newly installed signs, guided by the robber commissioner Max Elsässer). However, the route can also be started in the reverse direction towards the Andelsbach, as suggested by the tourist info, it's up to you. In our version, the route continued past the cemetery and the brightly painted family center Sonnenschein heading toward Brunnhausen. Then follows an idyllic ride via Kalkreute and Magenbuch to Lausheim.
Lausheim Pond and 13th-century chapel
Arriving in the inconspicuous, agriculturally influenced Lausheim, you will be rewarded with a view of the Lausheim pond and a small chapel from the 13th century. The chapel impresses with its Romanesque architecture. Just a few meters away lies the Lausheim pond. You can simply enjoy the view or cycle across the meadow toward the water. Overall, the bike path shines through its beautiful nature but is not particularly suitable for racing bikes due to the high proportion of fine gravel. A multitude of fields, sometimes dotted with beautiful poppies and forests, will surely soothe your soul as well. Through Hausen and Zell, you return toward Pfullendorf. Shortly before the destination lies the popular pilgrimage church Maria Schray, which is definitely worth a short stop.
All in all, the bike tour skillfully combines nature with venerable buildings around Pfullendorf and is definitely recommended! However, those who prefer high speed with a racing bike should look for an alternative.
