A highlight of the year is the annual Rose Festival in summer, when thousands of colourful flowers decorate the park around the castle. Lütetsburg also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: be sure to try local specialities such as fish rolls or East Frisian tea with Kluntjes (rock candy).
If it rains, we recommend a visit to the local museum "Ostfriesisches Landesmuseum" or a trip to nearby Aurich for shopping and a stroll through the old town.
It is especially beautiful in Lütetsburg in the evening when the sun lowers over the fields and you can sit on a comfortable bench and just enjoy.
