Summer: hiking, cycling and enjoying nature
In summer, Fischen invites you to go on extended hikes in the Allgäu foothills of the Alps. Numerous panoramic trails start right on the doorstep - from easy valley walks across sunny plateaus to more challenging tours towards the Hörnergruppe or up the Besler. The Sonneneck panoramic trail is particularly popular, rewarding you time and again with impressive views. Cyclists can enjoy a diverse network of cycle and e-bike trails that connect idyllic valleys, small hamlets and tranquil meadows. For little adventurers, there are family hiking trails and the adventure and nature trail for playing and relaxing in the countryside. Those who prefer a refreshing dip can cool off in the outdoor pool with diving platform and slide or relax in Mühlbachpark.
Winter: Cross-country skiing, winter hiking and skiing fun
In the cold season, Fischen turns into an Eldorado for winter sports enthusiasts and connoisseurs. An extensive network of trails for cross-country skiers and skaters leads you through the snow-covered Allgäu winter landscape. Cleared winter hiking trails invite you to enjoy peaceful walks - for example towards Tiefenberger Moor, which is particularly magical in winter. Fischen is the ideal starting point for alpine skiers: the ski areas on the Nebelhorn, Ofterschwanger Horn or Grasgehren can be reached quickly by bus or car. Not to be forgotten: Toboggan slopes, snowshoe tours and ice skating opportunities in the surrounding area offer plenty of variety.
All year round: health, pleasure and culture
Fischen is known for its excellent air quality and the title of Kneipp health resort. Numerous health offers, fun Kneipp facilities and the spa park invite you to relax. Enjoy regional specialties in cosy inns or cafés and discover living Allgäu tradition at events such as the Viehscheid or music evenings. In addition to the imposing parish church, a visit to the local history museum or a stroll through the well-kept village streets are also worthwhile.
