Geographical location and special features: Eiselfing is located in the federal state of Bavaria and is characterised by an idyllic landscape. The region is crossed by the rivers Inn and Mangfall and is surrounded by mountains. Here you will find a unique combination of natural and cultural experiences.

Tourist attractions: One of the most famous landmarks of Eiselfing is Hohenaschau Castle. It was built in the 12th century and today houses a museum and a gallery with contemporary art. Another highlight are the picturesque churches of St. Andreas and St. Vitus.

Cultural highlights and events: In Eiselfing there are numerous cultural events such as concerts, theatre performances or exhibitions in the community library or the local history museum "Alte Schule". The popular folk festival also takes place annually, where you can experience Bavarian customs.

Culinary specialities: The regional cuisine is characterised by hearty dishes such as pork knuckle or liver dumplings, but vegetarian options are also available. Be sure to try the local beer as well as sweet specialities such as apple strudel or Germknödel.

Outdoor activities: The surroundings of Eiselfing are perfect for hiking or cycling tours. Especially in summer, a canoe trip on the Mangfall is an unforgettable experience. In winter you can ski in the nearby ski areas such as Sudelfeld or Spitzingsee.

Where is it most beautiful? The numerous lakes and rivers that surround Eiselfing are particularly charming. Here you can relax with a picnic or go swimming. The view of the Alpine panorama from Hohenaschau Castle should not be missed either.

What to do if it rains? If the weather is bad, a visit to the "Alte Schule" local history museum is a good idea, where you can learn more about the history of Eiselfing. Alternatively, there are also cosy cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy the day.

Eiselfing is definitely worth a trip! With this travel guide, you now have all the important information at hand to plan your next trip to Bavaria.

Rennrad? Anfangs zwei kürzere unbefestigte 1k Abschnitte um Wasserburg; gg. Ende zwei längere matschige bzw. holprige Wald- bzw. Feldwege über vlt. jeweils 2k. Danke für die schöne Tour! 😊
