Betzigau

The tranquil villages in the Oberallgäu not only offer wonderful recreational opportunities, but also numerous ways to actively experience the region. Discover the region on two legs or two wheels just outside Kempten. In the Betzigauer Ried and the Kempter Forest, there are signposted trails of varying degrees of difficulty that lead through the varied landscape. The charming foothills of the Upper Allgäu Alps are also home to several viewpoints such as the Grasberg, the highest point in Betzigau.

The hilly region in the Oberallgäu offers vast meadows and forests, babbling brooks and tranquil lakes, all with a rural character. Spared from major tourism, vacationers here can enjoy the idyllic landscape in peace and set off on small adventures. The unspoiled nature can be enjoyed particularly well in the nature reserves. Here we also find the Notzenweiher, one of the rare natural lakes with moor water, and the Dengelstein boulder in the Kempter Forest.
