Bad Tölz offers its visitors a variety of tourist attractions. One of the most famous landmarks is the historic Marktstraße with its colourful facades and the famous puppet theatre. The Kurhaus with its magnificent garden or the Old Town Hall are also worth a visit.

Culture enthusiasts can look forward to numerous events, such as the traditional Leonhardifahrt Festival or the Christkindlmarkt in winter. The art and culture days also attract many visitors every year.

For those who like to try culinary specialities, Bavarian delicacies such as pretzels or white sausage are a must. You can also taste regional beers in the cosy cafés and restaurants.

Outdoor activities are very important here: Hiking through the picturesque mountains of the foothills of the Alps, cycling along the rivers Isar and Loisach or water sports activities on Lake Sylvenstein - there is plenty to discover!     Eine tolle Wanderung. Erreichbar mit den ÖPNV, zuerst mit der S-Bahn, dann ggfs. mit dem Bus. Ein schöner Weg entlang der Isar zum Walgerfranz. Dort erwartet euch eine tolle Küche, viel Fisch, gutes Bier und nettes Bedienungspersonal. Unsere Wandergruppe war mit dem Spaziergang beim Rückweg inkl. Altstadt von Tölz sehr zufrieden. Und dazu ist es auch noch eine Rundwanderung. Was ja auch ein Schmankerl ist. :)

    Man wandert zunächst länger durch Bad Tölz, wobei es durchaus recht abwechslungsreich durch Gassen, Parks und das Kurviertel geht. Der Weg durch das schattige Tälchen zur Dachshöhle ist auch sehr schön zu Wandern. Der Rückweg verläuft dann auch viel auf wenig befahrenen Straßen und Feld- bzw. Forstwegen. Bemerkenswert fanden wir, dass die vorgeschlagene Runde gerade durch die Stadt recht interessante Weg-Varianten wählt.

    Landschaftlich tolle Runde wobei das Wetter natürlich eine große Rolle spielt. Zwei Infos zur Tour: Die letzten ca. 10 km im Engtal sind mautpflichtig, derzeit 5 Euro pro Motorrad, lohnt aber auf jeden Fall. Die Strecke ab Wallgau bis Vorderriss ist ebenfalls mautpflichtig mit derzeit 6 Euro pro Motorrad. Außerdem ist die Kesselbergstrasse zwischen Kochel am See in Richtung Walchensee täglich zwischen 15.00 und 22.00 Uhr für Motorräder gesperrt. In der Gegenrichtung gibt es keine Beschränkung. Daher würde ich die Tour in Gegenrichtung fahren, um nicht in Zeitnot zu geraten. Gefahren am 19.6.2026 mit der Vespa in Gegenrichtung.

    Ich bin die Tour am 22.06.2025 gefahren, Sonntag, heiß, 32 Grad, die meisten Leute hatten eher Baden in diesen Seen im Sinn, so auch als trainierten Radler etwas anstrengend - viel Trinken und Energie mitnehmen. Wirklich schöne Runde zu diesen Seen, schönste Wälder, sehr abwechslungsreich auch durch kleine Dörfer. Kleine Challenges: - Vom Kirchsee weg ein kurzer etwas steilerer Anstieg; - am Hackensee könnte man sich die vlt. 200m Uferwurzelweg sparen - ich glaub das kann kaum jemand fahren und schieben macht da auch keinen Spaß, heftige Wurzeln und eng. - Später nach einem längeren Asphaltstück geht‘s links in den Wald auf vielleicht 300m sehr verwucherten kaum erkennbaren Weg (Navi!), der schon lange kein Radl mehr gesehen hat - ich glaube nicht dass hier jemand mit Kinderanhänger fahren kann (eine Abzweigung vorher links abbiegen). Gesamt ein richtig schöner Sonntagsausflug, tatsächlich Premium - ich bin von und nach Lenggries gefahren, so 20k mehr, also bei 60k - nur am Rande.

    The hike is ok, there is pretty cool in the forest, a lot of shadow, but the Kirchsee does not worth visiting in summer: an overcrowded not pleasant place. I guess, in autumn is the best. There are not many banches though, only near the lake.

    Solide Runde. Besonders die Abschnitte an der Isar und die Möglichkeit zur Einkehr sind sehr schön. Ansonsten idyllisches Voralpenland. Kein richtiges Highlight aber perfekt zu erreichen, unkompliziert zu gehen und angenehm zum Reden nebenbei. Wer das mag hat eine 5/5. Wer lieber eine Runde mit Toller Aussicht / Weitblick möchte: 3/5 Mir war es etwas zu entspannt, aber das ist ein persönlicher Geschmack.
