The Gschnitztal Hut Route is a long and demanding circular route from hut to hut in the Gschnitztal – a lonely side valley of the Tyrolean Wipptal. Continuously technical trails make each stage challenging both coordinatively and in terms of fitness. Short secured rope passages and easy climbing sections alternate with runnable and flat sections. Those who are up to the terrain and can manage up to 25 kilometers and 2,200 meters of ascent daily will experience 4 unforgettable days!
This first stage takes you from the train station in Steinach am Brenner initially with cable car support and then over lonely paths to the Tribulaun Hut.

The 3rd stage is the queen stage of this 4-day circular route. 25 km and 2,100 meters of ascent on continuously technical, rocky and partly exposed paths with a long final climb over the Rohrauersteig await you. Due to the difficult terrain, progress on this stage is slow. Allow plenty of time, as the 25 kilometers are quite extensive!

The premiere will start in the Austrian Seefeld Olympic region between the impressive Wetterstein and Karwendel mountain groups. The athletes will then reach the finish after almost 160,1 kilometers (100 miles), 9,224 meters (30,262 feet) elevation change uphill and 9,843 meters (32,293 feet) downhill in Brixen in South Tyrol (Italy).
