Trail runs in Upper Carniola

The route runs through the territory of the municipalities Bohinj, Cerkno, Tolmin, and Železniki. It guides competitors (and hikers) along mule tracks and mountain paths on the slopes of Črna Prst and Porezen.

Bamberger weg (via ferrata, grade C) up and Prag weg down (via ferrata, grade, A/B) It took me 6:37h normal time is 12h.

The route begins with a long steep hike on switchbacks through the forest to gain the plateau above.  The rest of the route follows a mixture of hard packed and singletrack trails, all old military routes, crowded with flowers and plantlife.  The trails are often quite technical but there is great variety underfoot and there are also easier sections with a stunning landscape which is both a joy to run through and to pause within and appreciate.

A pleasant circuit of Lake Bohinj with a mixture of easy runnable trails and track and some sections with slightly more technical trail.  The route could be accessed at either end of the lake to start/finish.
