Untermaiselstein Winter Loop

Our charming village dairy is located right in the center of Untermaiselstein. Right next door, you can park your car for free (parking lot at the Anger) and start your walk around the alpine dairy village.

The Weidachweg trail leads you directly onto the groomed winter hiking trail, which first takes you out of the village toward the Iller River. With views of the Nagelfluh Range and the Mittag mountain, the trail soon turns back onto the Illerweg, leading you back into the village and then right back out again. On the sidewalk along the main street, you’ll then walk south on Immenstädter Straße.

It won’t be long before you see the Rietzler Horse Farm on the left side of the street. Just before the horse farm, cross the street and you’ll rejoin the groomed winter trail. The trail takes you past a romantic pond, which is very popular with wild ducks and other waterfowl even in winter.

It may not exactly be a feast for the eyes, but you definitely can’t miss the recycling center with its parking lot, which is about 5 minutes from the lake. From here, you’ll return to the village along the sidewalk on Freidorfer Straße.
