Panorama run with summit joy: The Alm round at Hörnle is a trail run with about 800 meters of elevation gain, 360-degree views, and varied paths.

Almost 12 km and 800 meters of elevation gain – these are the key facts for this round to the Hörnle summits. Stopover at the Hörnle Hut included. From the Hörnle Cable Car valley station, it first goes up to Zeitberg and then, depending on your preference, on to the three Hörnle summits.

    Roadbook

The run starts at the Hörnle Aerial Cableway parking lot. Alternatively, you can also start from the Kurhaus train station. From the parking lot, follow the purple signs with the cow heads. After about 500 meters of elevation gain, you will reach the first summit, the Zeitberg. On clear days, you can see over Lake Ammersee, Lake Staffel, and Lake Starnberg all the way to Munich. If you're already hungry, you can optionally stop by the Hörnle Hut, which is open almost all year round.

The trail over the Hörnle summits (front, middle, rear Hörnle) is the most playful part of the circuit: slightly technical, undulating, and with constantly changing perspectives – exactly what trail runners love.

The downhill is challenging: narrow, partly rooty, and less frequented – here you need sure footing and focus. After that, it goes back to faster forest roads towards the valley, where you can finish the round off at a relaxed pace.
