UFFBASSE! - Campaign for a considerate coexistence in nature
- Fire & Smoking - Making fires, smoking, and grilling are strictly prohibited in the forest and must be avoided at all costs! Fires and thus major damage to nature and wildlife can only be avoided this way.
- Be considerate on the move - Always behave considerately, friendly, and respectfully towards everyone you meet on your way. This applies especially on farm roads where vintners, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
- Nature protection - Stay on designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest at twilight at the latest to avoid disturbing the rhythm of nocturnal animals.
- Picnic & trash - Remember a trash bag for the way and take your waste home with you. Use only furnished rest areas for breaks & picnics.
- Dogs on a leash - Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

Waldgaststätte am FriedensdenkmalSafety information
Hiking on natural trails and paths - Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees can still fall or branches can fall afterwards. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in some places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you think certain sections of the path are impassable for you, you should avoid them. Despite the "unmissable" marking of the premium hiking trails, we recommend always carrying a suitable hiking map for safety reasons so that you can quickly find a safe area in case of a thunderstorm or emergency. Path closures and detours must be observed.
Hazard situations - In case of an emergency, quick help is needed. And even though mobile phones can send GPS signals, classic rescue points are often the fastest. These are located at places easily accessible to emergency vehicles. Remember the points with green signs and a white cross. In an emergency, return there and give the number on the sign when calling for help. This way, rescue workers will know where to find you.
