Varied hike with information boards on climate change, life at the lake, drinking water extraction and water retention as well as the Buntsandstein in the Palatinate Forest. A detour to the Lindelbrunn castle ruins is worthwhile!

The SÜW Experience App contains accompanying information. The audio files provide information on the topics in simple language.

UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature

Always behave considerately, friendly and responsibly towards everyone you meet on the way.

Respect nature, do not destroy plants and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.

Bring a garbage bag for the way and take your trash back home.

Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

For your own safety, observe all path closures, even on weekends.

Only park in designated parking areas. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machines.

Yield to agricultural and forestry traffic.

    Roadbook

The path starts at the hiking parking lot at Silzer Lake. Initially, the path runs parallel to the lake round along the lake. At the path junction at the end of the lake, the two markings separate. Following the forest round, the path first goes through the Klingbach valley, past the waterworks of the municipal works association. Below the PWV shelter, the path leads right to the Klingbach spring. Rain retention basins have also been created here. After another stretch uphill, you reach the Lindelbrunn hiking parking lot. Here a detour to the ruins with great panoramic views is possible, as well as a stop at the Cramerhaus. Now you walk a short stretch along the road before the hiking trail turns left into the forest at the next hiking parking lot. Past calamity areas and forestry areas with advanced rejuvenation you first reach the Keller Rock with its spectacular gate on hiking trails, then following the path left and uphill the Schweins Rock. There is a rest area with an experience station here. It is also worth climbing the steep stairs up to Schweins Rock and enjoying the view over the Wasgau. From Schweins Rock, the hiking trail then leads downhill back to the starting point at Silzer Lake.
