Those who travel the approximately 7 kilometers on the "Palatine Heights Trail" (marked with the blue-white cloud) and a section of the local road between the two mentioned points will experience not only the enjoyment of nature on the paths lined with many deciduous trees (not suitable for strollers) but also special "encounters". Whether horsewoman, forest god, or "fake" Celtic artifacts, it's worth looking closely. There are a total of 13 sculptures to admire. These were created in the summers of 2013 and 2014 during two-week sculptor symposia led by Uli Lamp.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Always behave considerately, kindly, and responsibly towards everyone you meet on the way.
- Respect nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.
- Remember a garbage bag for the way and take your trash back home.
- Please keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
- Observe all trail closures for your own safety, even on weekends.
- Park only in designated parking lots. Leave space for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
- Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

Safety information
Especially in autumn, note that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees can still fall or branches drop afterwards. In adverse weather conditions, natural paths may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is required in places. You should expect such path impairments when hiking. If you consider certain sections of paths to be impassable for you, you should avoid them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting groups on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. Should you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please follow the instructions for your own safety.
