The themed path "Aussichten der Tuchmacher" starts at the train station in Lambrecht and takes you past beautiful viewpoints, such as Wildsaukopf, Kaisergarten, or Dicker Stein Tower.
The hike takes you from the train station down into the town, towards Schulstraße, past Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, towards Marktstraße - Grabenstraße.
If you have not stocked up on provisions for the hike, you can do so on the way through the town. Exceptionally, no huts in the Palatinate Forest are visited on the route itself, but the numerous viewpoints offer a nice backdrop for a relaxing break.

Author’s recommendation
The Peace Path is integrated into the "Aussichten der Tuchmacher" hiking trail. If you want, you can hike this beautiful alternative to the main trail either on the way out or on the return journey. This section is about 1.3 km long and takes you past orchards up to Peace Square. There you will find not only a Buntsandstein (colored sandstone) with a dove engraved in it but also a picnic area with a beautiful view of the cloth-makers' town of Lambrecht (Pfalz).

Safety information
Hiking on natural paths and trails - Especially in autumn, pay attention that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rainstorms, trees can still fall or branches can fall afterward. Especially under adverse weather conditions, natural paths may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is sometimes required. Expect such path impairments when hiking. If you think certain sections are not passable for you, you should avoid them. Despite the “unmistakable” marking of premium hiking trails, we recommend always carrying a suitable hiking map for safety reasons so that you can quickly find a safe area in the event of a thunderstorm or emergency. Path closures and detours must be strictly observed.
Danger situations - In an emergency, quick help is needed. Although cell phones can send GPS signals, the classic rescue points are often the fastest. These are located at points easily accessible to rescue vehicles. Remember the points with green signs and a white cross. If necessary, return there and give the number on the sign during your emergency call. This way, rescue teams know where to find you.
The hiking trail is not barrier-free and not suitable for strollers.
Tips and suggestions
The themed path "Aussichten der Tuchmacher" takes you via the Peace Path. This short path (about 1.3 km long) leads you past orchards to Peace Square. There you will find a picnic area with a beautiful view of the over 1000-year-old cloth-makers town of Lambrecht (Pfalz). You can hike the Peace Path either at the beginning or at the end of your walk.
Roadbook
The path starts at Lambrecht (Pfalz) train station, which can be reached either by public transport or by parking your vehicle in the adjacent parking lot. From there, the route leads down into the town and past Friedrich-Ebert-Platz via Schulstraße, then up Marktstraße. After the Monastery Church, we continue towards Grabenstraße. There you will find the entrance to the Peace Path. We follow the Peace Path and then continue on the "Aussichten der Tuchmacher" route. At the first left bend on the gravel path, we leave it on a rather steep uphill trail that leads us after a few hundred meters to the beginning of the "Virtue Path." The Virtue Path takes us further uphill to the junction "Stadter Bank." The first elevation step is reached, and on a now wide, natural path, the way leads us nearly without further ascent to the "Beautiful View" at the "Wildsaukopf" and the wave loungers. Both names come from the view over Lambrecht and the rock resting on the slope. A first break on the inviting wave loungers fits well into the schedule. Let your legs dangle and let your gaze wander over the town towards the west or in the direction of Weinbiet.
We continue the hike on a wide path initially without major elevation changes until at the next junction after a few hundred meters we turn sharply left and uphill. In a loop, the path leads us to the next altitude level, and the next two path junctions to the left are ignored. Gently ascending, the path now leads on the north side of Schauerberg to the viewpoint "Umsetzer." Here, too, a seating area invites for a rest, and the view from this higher vantage point offers a new look down at the old cloth-makers' town in the valley.
After Umsetzer, the description of the trail repeats almost as we know it from the wave loungers. Gently ascending further until it turns sharply left and quite steeply uphill. But even here the slope is limited and we have reached the ridge. The terrain now slopes downward almost in all directions, and we maintain direction towards the Kaisergarten along enchanting rock formations.
The Kaisergarten was established on August 15, 1804, as a festival ground for the ordered celebration of Napoleon's appointment as hereditary emperor on the livestock shelter site "Alte Unger." At 519 meters, Kaisergarten is the highest point in the Lambrecht Monastery Forest. To reach the remains of Alte Unger, simply follow the signpost through the forest. Today, only low stone walls remain visible.
Turn right onto the path (follow the marking) and cross two forest roads. Along the way, you can let your eyes roam over the heights of the Palatinate Forest. On the path, which goes through heath shrubs, two wave loungers offer another chance to rest. Turn right onto the marked track ("Lambrecht via 'Dicker Stein' Tower") and left before the round table. About 100 meters further, turn sharply left onto the grass path. At the Stone of Movement, go down the stairs to the Dicker Stein Tower.
Dicker Stein Tower: The first pavilion on the Dicker Stein was already built in 1896 but fell into disrepair over time. In 1933, construction began on an observation tower here. By 1995, it was so dilapidated that it had to be closed. However, many helpers restored the tower.
Go down the path in front of the tower and turn right at the junction; now follow the marking again. Turn left onto the track and after about 220 meters turn sharply right onto the path. At its end, turn right onto the forest road.
At a crossing, hike left downhill to the cemetery. Continue following the hiking markers. Follow the street. We walk down the paved street past the school. Turn right into Hauptstraße and left into Bahnhofstraße. This hike ends again at the train station.
