The wooden lookout tower "Dicker Stein" is located on the Schauerberg above Lambrecht. The tower is a wooden construction with two viewing platforms.
The first pavilion on the "Dicker Stein" was erected as early as 1896, but fell into disrepair over time. In 1933, work began on building a lookout tower here. In 1995 it was so dilapidated that it had to be closed. However, many helpers were found who restored the tower in 1996 and 1997.
The "Dicken-Stein-Turm" (Thick Stone Tower) is a wooden tower built in block construction with a square ground plan and an edge length of 3 metres. The entrance to the tower leads to an interior through which one reaches an attached platform on the valley side, the trapezoidal parapet of which is fixed to the projecting Thick Stone. Next to the entrance, a three-part wooden staircase with a total of 26 steps leads to the upper viewing platform at 6.2 m above the tower, from which there is a very good view of Lambrecht and the Haardt hills further east.

Travel is possible by S-Bahn. Follow the hiking sign "Views of the Cloth Makers" from the Lambrecht train station.
Arrival by car: follow the B39 to Lambrecht (Pfalz). There is parking available at the station in Lambrecht (Pfalz), or on Marktstraße (next to the cemetery) in Lambrecht (Pfalz). First, follow the hiking sign from the "Peace Path" and then in Grabenstraße the hiking sign "Views of the Cloth Makers."
