Kaisergarten - Alte Unger
The Kaisergarten was created in 1804, in French times, for the ordered celebration of Napoleon's appointment as hereditary emperor with two stone roundels on the cattle shelter "Alte Unger" as a fairground. Initially equipped with stalls and planted with spruce trees. This joyful rally took place on Napoleon's birthday, August 15, 1804 with strong participation of the population with dance music. (The self-coronation of Napoleon I followed in the presence of the Pope on 02.12.1804 in Paris).
Also at the birth of his son Joseph Napoleon II, the "King of Rome" and Duke of Reichstadt", on 20.03.1811 a commanded celebration took place here again. Regardless of these occasions, the Emperor's Garden remained popular as a festival place until the 20th century.
