In the Faulenbacher Valley is the beautiful Alatsee, around which a bird experience trail leads.
Along the lake circular route, ten display cases present the local birdlife with lifelike clay models of the birds and information texts about their habitats. Additionally, nature enthusiasts can listen to the corresponding bird sounds at each station via QR codes.

Follow the circular path along the right-hand side of the lake shore. The bird sounds can be listened to (possible via the given QR codes), so please allow extra time for this, as the time indication for the route only refers to the pure walking time without stopping at the display panels.

Public transport
There are regular train connections from the long-distance stations Ulm, Augsburg, and Munich to Füssen.
From Füssen station, take bus line 71 towards Nesselwang to Weißensee to the stop "Geometerweg." From there, it is about two kilometers to the start of the route on the paved road.
From Hopfen to the start point with line 56 to Füssen (station). Change to line 71 towards Nesselwang to Weißensee to the stop "Geometerweg."

Directions
From Füssen, follow the B310 towards Weißensee. Immediately after the highway bridge, turn left into Saloberstraße. Follow Saloberstraße up to the hiking parking lot at Alatsee.
Parking
There are chargeable parking spaces available at Alatsee and at the "Wanderparkplatz Ostufer Weißensee."
