Berrington to Croft loop

This leisurely road cycling loop begins near Berrington Hall, where Georgian architecture and landscaped gardens set the tone for a ride through quiet Herefordshire lanes. Early in the route, the Skin Deep gallery offers a contemporary art pause before you settle into predominantly smooth asphalt, winding northwards. The route’s undulating profile remains friendly, with only gradual climbs as you approach the heart of Yarpole Village—ideal for a relaxed stop at the Yarpole Community Shop inside St Leonard's Church, famed for its local produce.

Continuing on, gentle country roads lead you past woodlands towards Croft Castle, an atmospheric National Trust property surrounded by centuries-old parkland. The nearby Croft Church, with its medieval touches, marks a tranquil point before you sweep back south, retracing the rolling landscape to return to the starting point near Berrington Hall.
