The path on this day runs without significant altitude differences and follows the Drau for long stretches. This means you make good progress and have plenty of time to enjoy the surrounding landscape and visit one or two cultural sights. A stop at the branch church of St. Georg in Gerlamoos with the famous frescoes by Thomas of Villach should definitely be planned. However, the church is always locked, the key is available in the village.

    Roadbook

Starting from the Parish Church of St. Peter in Holz, the path leads westwards slightly downhill along a little used road past the remnants of the former city wall of Teurnia. After about 150 m, leave the road and turn left to follow hiking trail 12 to Lendorf. Parallel to the lower railway tracks, this path ends at a gravel road near a house. A short distance later, near house number 103, walk along the meadow edge southwards to the railway underpass. Then turn right and follow the gravel path south of the railroad tracks to the Baldramsdorf State Road. Here, keep left towards Rosenheim and shortly after cross the Drau southwards. Another 500 m after the bridge, leave the road again to the right and walk along a path to the Drau river, continuing parallel to the river via the so-called Drauhofen hiking trail and the Sa 2 hiking trail to Sachsenburg (St. Peter in Holz - Sachsenburg: approx. 9.5 km). From Sachsenburg, the Jakobsweg now follows the Drau cycle path R 1 to Lind im Drautal; the cycle path signage (green signs with white lettering) additionally helps with orientation. (Sachsenburg - Lind: approx. 7.3 km). Along the road, cross the Drau to the northwest and after about 30 minutes reach Kleblach, from where you follow the slightly uphill narrow road to Blaßnig. After the small hamlet, it is not far to the isolated branch church of St. Lambertus in Lengholz (Lind - Lengholz: 5.2 km). You cross the small village with its few houses and continue westwards, completely flat, along the Oberdrautal panoramic trail to Gerlamoos. Here you should definitely plan a visit to the branch church of St. Georg, famous for its frescoes. Then it is about another 1.5 km along the road to reach Steinfeld, the destination of the day's stage (Lengholz - Steinfeld: approx. 4.6 km).
