Jakobsweg access route Merzig – Perl-Borg

The Jakobsweg access route from Merzig to Perl-Borg is part of this Europe-wide network. The route is also marked with the pilgrim shell, as an official access route with a blue shell on a yellow background. The path partly runs over existing premium hiking trails and thus has a high trail quality. Numerous churches and chapels along the route invite spiritual pauses, from St. Peter at the starting point in Merzig to the James chapel in Kesslingen. Gastronomic stops are also possible at many locations in Merzig, Mettlach, or Orscholz. And if the route is too long to do at once, overnight stays can be made along the way.
