Hemmapilgerweg Route Sveta Ana, 4th stage: Maria Saal - St. Georgen/Längsee

In Maria Saal, the path leads from the cathedral eastwards over Winklerner Straße to the so-called Zeller Kreuz. Here, keep left and follow Judendorferstraße for about 400 m before turning right onto a hiking trail that passes by the Stuttener Moos to Stuttern. You cross Stuttern heading east and, after about 400 m, leave the street again to the left, reaching Gammersdorf and then Ottmanach via a field and forest path. In Ottmanach, the path runs south of the church and turns left at the first curve, i.e., north, again onto a hiking trail. From Goriach, you begin the ascent to Magdalensberg (1,059 m). From the church at the summit, you can enjoy a wonderful view before descending via hiking trail 171 to St. Sebastian. You then follow the marking north to the Krappfeld state road, with Hochosterwitz Castle on a steep dolomite rock overlooking the pilgrim on the right. At the state road, keep left and follow it for about 500 m, then cross the road and reach Thalsdorf via a field path heading north. In the village, keep left and reach a shaded forest path along the road above the last houses, which leads directly to St. Georgen along the slope of Otwinkogel. It takes about 6 hours (pure walking time) from Maria Saal to St. Georgen.
