Das Zeller Kreuz ist Sammelpunkt der Wallfahrer, ehe diese gemeinsam zum Maria Saaler Dom hinauf ziehen. So treffen hier u. a. jedes Jahr am letzten Sonntag vor Pfingsten die Wallfahrer des Dekanats Völkermarkt zusammen. Außerdem ziehen die Gläubigen am 2. Bitttag vom Zeller Kreuz zum Maria Saaler Dom.
