This walking route leads you along the Mooskogel and Stückl fields as well as the Wiesener–Forchtenstein ridge with great viewpoints and breathtaking vistas. You will be surrounded by the delicate scent of wood anemones and the sweet aroma of ripe fruit, rich grapes, and Wiesener strawberries. As an enthusiastic walker or hiker, you will be thrilled by this route through the region's orchard. Accompanied by the view of Burg Forchtenstein, the lush green meadows, the colorful blossoms along the path, the shady woodland, the occasional sunflower field, vineyards, strawberry fields, and, of course, the scattered orchards and the mystical ice ponds, you walk on gentle country paths and also on paved sections. Numerous wayside shrines and chapels lie along this route waiting to be visited by you.

Roadbook
If you arrive by car, you will find parking directly at the starting point of the route. If you come by public transport, the bus stop is only 200 meters away. You start on the right-hand side of the sports ground along the farm road; at the first fork, keep right and follow the farm road. Then keep slightly right along the Mooskogel fields. At the next fork, turn left and continue straight through the motorway underpass to Stücklkreuz. There, turn left and then walk right across the S31 overpass. Now go right along the motorway, then choose the path on the left through the small woodland and walk along the ridge between Mattersburg and Wiesen. Upon reaching the Wiesen-Brändweg farm road, go left facing Burg Forchtenstein, cross the Wiesener state road, and go straight ahead at the Sebastianikreuz to the rest area. Once there, go down the meadow path on the left into the Schindlersgraben where you meet Hochbergstraße, then continue left along Hochbergstraße to the intersection Ortsmitte, Eisteiche, where you cross the ford and keep left. At the first fork keep right and then immediately turn left, along the Eisteiche and the alder woodland. Follow the paved farm road to the end of Antonigasse which flows into the main road. Walk down the main road on the left and then you will be back at the starting point of your walking route.
